Caramel Apple Salad

When I first read this recipe I thought it was for sure a mistake to not prepare the pudding first, but it turns out using it dry with the cool-whip is exactly what you’re supposed to do. It’s delicious, almost a dessert rather than a side dish.

8 oz. Cool Whip
1 three-ounce pkg. instant vanilla pudding
3-5 frozen Snicker Bars (crushed)
3-5 Granny Smith Apples (peeled and chopped)
½ c. toffee bits (optional, but highly recommended)
½ c. dry roasted (salted) peanuts (optional, but highly recommended)

1. Mix all ingredients together in a medium bowl. Chill.

Yield: 5-6 servings
